JOB SUMMARY
Compliments and supports therapists and nurses in the mobility of patients according to established standards of care.

Provides support to the unit in the maintenance and safety of supplies, equipment (gait belts, walkers, and other assistive devices), and the environment (ensure fall prevention interventions in place).



Unit Support - Maintain supplies and equipment according to unit standards (i


e:

gait belts, walkers, canes, crutches, tab safety alarms, appropriate patient seating, bed alarms etc.) - Provides input about inventory of supplies, equipment, and environmental needs of the unit. - Demonstrates compliance with proper hand hygiene and personal protective equipment. - Contributes to the cleanliness and order of the patient room unit and equipment. - Demonstrates NCH standards of care. - Demonstrates responsibility to patients, co-workers, and the institution.

- Complies with dress code standards and wearing of proper identification.**Education/Development** - Attends and participate in staff conferences and programs.

- Seeks learning resources for identified learning needs. - Attends mandatory classes as required. - Discusses educational concerns and goals with the nurse manager. - Recognize their own limitations and request assistance when needed.


EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS - Minimum of High School/GED. - Minimum of 1 years' experience in a related field preferred. - Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required from the American Red Cross or American Heart Association. - Verbal, writing, reading, and patient relation skills. - Intermediate computer knowledg
