Hospitalist - Pediatrics, Pediatrics
Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Hospitalist specializing in Pediatrics and make a meaningful impact on the lives of children and their families.
This vital role offers an excellent opportunity to provide high-quality, comprehensive care in a supportive environment, ensuring children receive the best possible treatment and attention.
In this position, you'll be responsible for managing inpatient pediatric cases, providing collaboration with outpatient providers, and ensuring smooth coordination of pediatric care.
Required Skills:
Valid medical license to practice pediatrics in the state
Board certification or eligibility in Pediatrics
Proven experience in hospital medicine or pediatric inpatient care
Strong clinical assessment and decision-making abilities
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
Proficiency in using Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems
Nice to Have Skills:
Experience with CLIA waived testing and onsite diagnostics
Familiarity with pediatric emergency procedures
Bilingual skills to serve diverse patient populations
Previous work in outpatient and inpatient settings
Preferred Education and Experience:
MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
Minimum of 2 years of hospitalist or pediatric inpatient experience
Active state medical license and board certification in Pediatrics
Other Requirements:
Flexibility to work a fixed clinic schedule from and Monday through Thursday, with additional weekend call responsibilities ( 10 days/month)
Rotating call schedule, primarily involving newborn care
Ability to document all overtime and callback hours accurately
Willingness to participate in a rotating weekend call system
Certifications in Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) preferred
Must adhere to all hospital and state regulations and policies
