SUMMARY:

This position will report to the Director of Development and support the Development team, CEO, and PR Agency.

This position will play an instrumental role in successfully raising over $430,000 in revenue and facilitating the successful implementation of our 2024 gala, held September 14, 2024.


RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Achieve/surpass our $430k revenue goal
  • Maintain accurate records, as the primary repository for information related to the Gala.
  • Facilitate and manage all phases of the project, ensuring successful delivery within scope, schedule, and budget constraints.
  • Coordinate a celebration (postevent) with the committee members
  • Solicit corporate sponsorships.
  • Coordinate the auction and secure auction items.
  • Day of Gala coordination including ensuring program flow
  • Participate/facilitate/attend all meetings of the Gala Committee, weekly check ins with Gala Chair, Logistics Committee, Auction Committee, and Development Team as required.
  • Conduct postevent evaluations to assess outcomes and identify areas for improvement.
  • Collaborate with Marketing and PR Teams to develop communication tools for the event

SKILLS:


  • Excellent communication skills and demonstrated experience developing giving menus, proposals, and other forms of donor communication.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of CRM database systems, prospect development, constituent research, and information management.
  • Project management with strong attention to detail, accuracy, and completion within a dynamic, fastpaced, and teambased environment. Proactive approach to managing timesensitive and competing priorities.
  • Exceptional interpersonal communication skills in both verbal and written form. Experience in thinking strategically, creatively, and independently.
  • Positive attitude with a commitment and passion for problemsolving, program impact, and continuous process improvement.
  • Computer and technology proficiency including Constant Contact, Microsoft Office products, particularly Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook (experience with databases, auction software, and other electronic tracking systems a plus)

COMPENSATION:


  • Not to exceed $4000 monthly
