JOB SUMMARY:
RESPONSIBLE FOR MANAGING THE FACILITY ON A DAY-TO-DAY BASIS AND FOR SUPERVISING ALL CLERICAL STAFF
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Ensures that the facility activities run smoothly and efficiently in an organized professional manner
- Schedules clerical staff to ensure adequate coverage during the hours of operation
- Assists clerical staff in the performance of their duties, as needed
- Assists the Medical Director as needed
- Maintains personnel files in a complete and current manner
- Is a member of the Quality Assurance committee and performs all secretarial responsibilities related to the QA committee
- Performs all secretarial responsibilities related to the appointment/reappointment process
- Monitors facility areas to ensure that there are adequate supplies and equipment, order supplies and equipment
- Collects and reviews daily patient log and reconciles copayments received
- Maintains all meeting minutes, policy and procedure manuals, preventive maintenance, hazardous waste pickup records, NYS Department of Health Survey reports and any other required information
- Observes and evaluates all clerical staff, in collaboration with the Medical Director
- Office Managers are required to participate in staff and Quality Assurance meetings.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- High School Graduate
- Prior experience in an office setting
- Prior management experience preferred
