    About the Team

    Constellation Schools are looking for highly-qualified Middle School Science Teachers in Lorain/Elyria, Ohio, who are committed to providing a top-notch education for all students. We seek teachers who are enthusiastic and devoted to making the curriculum engaging for every student.     About the Opportunity:

    Responsibilities of the Middle School Science Teacher include:

    • Prepare and deliver lesson plans with the ability to adjust as needed throughout the school year
    • Customize instruction to meet the diverse needs of all students
    • Maintain accurate records of students' progress and development
    • Implement research-based best practices in daily planning and classroom instruction
    • Manage student behavior effectively
    • Create a positive learning environment for students
    • Utilize approved curricula that reflect the various educational, cultural, and linguistic backgrounds of the students
    • Uphold school-wide culture expectations and norms
    • Engage with families to discuss their child's academic and social-emotional progress
    • Incorporate technology into daily classroom activities to enhance learning
    • Participate in non-instructional activities planning and implementation, as required
    • Collaborate and communicate efficiently with colleagues
    • Complete assigned duties

    About You:

    • Hold an active Ohio teaching license in the relevant content area
    • Possess a Bachelor's degree in education or a related field
    • Comfortable in a growth-focused coaching environment with frequent observations and action planning
    • Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • Ability to handle confidential information appropriately
    • Aptitude for supervising students of different ages in various school settings
    • Clear federal and state criminal background checks
    • Experience in an urban educational environment
