    has an immediate opening for a Machine Operator/Forklift Driver in our Rebond Department on 1st shift at our Russellville, KY foam manufacturing plant.

    This position is responsible for the safe operation of a specific piece of equipment used in the grinding process.

    Carpenter Co. employees are committed to working hard to ensure production goals are met while maintaining operations excellence. The successful candidate will be expected to communicate both verbally and written with the department and supervisor.

    This position will involve a combination of machine operation and moving carpet cushion rolls which will require the safe operation of a forklift for part of your shift.


    Additional responsibilities of this position will include:

    • Reads production schedule to determine product type and corresponding material to grind and mix
    • Keep electronic and manual records of material being produced
    • Pulls bales of trim from trim storage area, weighs bales and records weights
    • Cuts strapping foam bales and loads into automated shredder
    • Observes operation of the grinding process and verifies conformance of machine work to specifications
    • Visually verifies correct material is staged and loaded into shredder
    • Performs material handling
    • Bales, weighs and identifies trim from slitting of other plant manufacturing processes
    Skills / Requirements


    • High School Diploma or General Education Degree Preferred.
    • 1+ year(s) manufacturing experience.
    • Machine operator experience required.
    • Basic Computer experience required and SAP preferred.
    • Forklift Experience preferred.
    Carpenter Co. conducts pre-employment drug testing on all applicants that receive and accept a written offer of employment.
