    Emerald EMS is an electronics manufacturing services (EMS) provider for original equipment manufacturer (OEM) customers, focusing on high-reliability electronic assemblies. With design and manufacturing facilities in California, Michigan, and New Hampshire, as well as in Shenzhen, China, Emerald EMS specializes in high mix, low- to medium-volume manufacturing for high-reliability markets in the Aerospace/Defense, Industrial Controls, Life Sciences, Power & Infrastructure, Semiconductor and Telecommunications sectors.     Pre-form and/or assemble of thru-hole components to prepare them for insertion into PCB. Install electronic components on circuit boards utilizing thru-hole techniques required for assembly while maintaining a clean, well-organized work environment.

    Responsibilities of the Assembler:

    • Setup and operate both automated and manual prep equipment in department
    • Insert and install thru-hole components such as capacitors, resistors, ICs, and connectors
    • Utilize a variety of hand tools to assist in assembling thru-hole parts
    • De-panel individual circuit boards from an array
    • Perform high volume routine and repetitive duties to assemble products
    • Maintain production equipment and materials in the department in a clean and organized fashion
    • Read and follow paper or electronic work instruction and engineering drawings

    Requirements of the Assembler:

    • Verbal and written communication skills in English is required.
    • Ability to read, interpret and develop documents, instructions, operation manuals, safety rules, etc.
    • Ability to manually apply thru-hole component parts with good hand dexterity.
    • Ability to see details at a close range.
    • Must have strong attention to detail.
