The Department of Human Resources and Internal Services at the Central Administration of the University of Tübingen is currently seeking a Department Head (m/f/d; A 14/E 14 TV-L, 100%) for the Department of Appointment Management and Personnel Budget, to be filled as soon as possible.

The responsibilities of this position include leading the department and overseeing the following areas of responsibility:

• Administrative preparation and support of appointment procedures for professorships in close coordination with the university departments and management, including advising faculties, committees, and university bodies
• Development and implementation of measures for quality assurance and compliance with legal requirements in appointment procedures
• Wsalary with the allocation of performance bonuses and preparation of submissions for the university management, documentation, and issuance of performance decisions
• Preparation of reports, statistics, and other documents for internal and external reporting
• Preparation and implementation of the state budget plan (staff and budget plan) including personnel budget management
• Management of positions and funds
• Secondary activities

We are looking for a motivated employee with the following qualifications for this exciting and challenging position:

• Master's degree or equivalent in economics with relevant professional experience, or
• Bachelor's degree in General Financial Administration/Public Management with several years of relevant professional experience (possibility of advancement to the Higher Administrative Service)
• Experience in personnel management and strong communication skills
• Strong understanding of numbers
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office
