Duties:


  • Duties described below are at the highest grade advertised. Duties assigned at lower grade levels will be of more limited scope, performed with less independence and limited complexity; duties will be commensurate with the grade of selected employee.
  • Provides support to the Senior Interagency Specialists as part of the national security team responsible for liaison with the Department of Defense and Intelligence Community.
  • Supports Senior Interagency Specialists in completing interagency agreement drafting, review coordination, execution, and closeout activities to maintain current the list of active interagency agreements within the PAM database.
  • Supports Senior Interagency Specialists in providing advice and support to NASA Mission Directorates and Centers in the development of interagency agreements, particularly with national security entities.
  • Drafts and analyzes materials to support Senior Interagency Specialists' participation in White House policy meetings. Drafts and analyzes materials to support Senior Interagency Specialists' participation in interagency policy meetings.
  • Supports Senior Interagency Specialists in maintaining awareness of national space policies and analyzing their effect on NASA programs.
  • Archives certain interagency agreements using the relevant office storage system.
  • Oversees operations of certain secure facilities.
  • Collects, consolidates, and reviews for completeness officewide inputs for external inquiries as well as reporting of officewide activities for NASA senior leadership.

Qualifications:


  • Specialized experience is experience that has equipped you with the particular ability, skill, and knowledge to successfully perform the duties of this position and is typically in or related to this line of work.

To qualify for GS-09 level, you must have:

- a) One year of directly related specialized experience equivalent to the GS-07 level:

  • Identifying administrative issues and collaborating with peers to resolve problems;
  • Assisting with administrative tasks for a project or program;
  • Assisting with resolving complex interrelated problems and issues associated with these functions.
OR
- b) Completed all requirements for a master's or equivalent graduate degree in an appropriate field

  • OR
- c) Completed 2 full academic years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to a master's degree or equivalent graduate degree in an appropriate field

  • OR
- d) LL. B or J.D, if related

  • OR
- e) Have an equivalent combination of experience and graduate study as discussed in a), b), c) and d) above

To qualify for GS-11, you must have:

  • a) One year of directly related specialized experience equivalent to the GS-09 level:
  • Performing work in areas that involve interagency liaison functions;
  • Conducting work supporting the development of interagency documents and supporting interagency meetings;
  • Identifying and assisting with resolving complex interrelated problems and issues associated with these functions.
OR
- b) Completed all requirements for a doctoral degree (i.e., Ph.
D. or equivalent) in an appropriate field

  • OR
- c) Completed 3 full academic years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to a Ph.
D. degree or equivalent doctoral degree in an appropriate field

  • OR
- d) LL.M., if related

  • OR
- e) Have an equivalent combination of experience and graduate study as discussed in a), b), c) and d) above

To qualify for GS-12, you must have one year of directly related specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 level:

  • Collaborating cross-organizationally to develop interagency agreements and documents and facilitate interagency meetings;
  • Drafting interagency documents and representing organization at interagency meetings;
  • Identifying, evaluating, and making recommendations to resolve complex interrelated problems and issues associated with these functions

Education:


All degrees must have been received in the year of, or any year subsequent to the original date of accreditation.
