    About the role

    The CES - Non CDL Driver is responsible for performing the duties associated with transporting hazardous and non-hazardous material between Covanta facilities and the client's sites. In addition to transporting hazardous and non-hazardous material, drivers will be required to triage and package material on customers sites and at the facility.

    Position Responsibilities:

    Operate equipment in a safe manner following DOT regulations and company policies and regulations.

    Drive non-CDL box truck to pick up and transport waste to a designated location safely while meeting scheduled appointments and following all DOT regulations

    Ensure placarding of the vehicle meets DOT regulations.

    Maintain paperwork including vehicle inspection reports, manifests, and BOLs.

    Inspect truck equipment and supplies such as tires, lights, brakes, gas, oil, water etc.

    Secure cargo prior to and during transit.

    Complete additional assigned duties in the plant and one the road.

    Must follow CES Fleet Manual Policies, e-Stewards Procedures and Naid Procedures.

    Position Requirements:

    High School Diploma, preferred

    Must have valid driver's license

    Physical Demand of the Role:

    Ability to walk, stand, sit, and climb

    Ability to lift/carry 50lbs

    Ability to work from heights and in confined spaces

    Qualify to wear a full-face respirator (preferred)

    Consistently work in various weather conditions
