    About the role

    The CES - Non CDL Driver is responsible for performing the duties associated with transporting hazardous and non-hazardous material between Covanta facilities and the client's sites. In addition to transporting hazardous and non-hazardous material, drivers will be required to triage and package material on customers sites and at the facility.

    Position Responsibilities:

    · Operate equipment in a safe manner following DOT regulations and company policies and regulations.

    · Drive non-CDL box truck to pick up and transport waste to a designated location safely while meeting scheduled appointments and following all DOT regulations

    · Ensure placarding of the vehicle meets DOT regulations.

    · Maintain paperwork including vehicle inspection reports, manifests, and BOLs.

    · Inspect truck equipment and supplies such as tires, lights, brakes, gas, oil, water etc.

    · Secure cargo prior to and during transit.

    · Complete additional assigned duties in the plant and one the road.

    · Must follow CES Fleet Manual Policies, e-Stewards Procedures and Naid Procedures.

    Position Requirements:

    · High School Diploma, preferred

    · Must have valid driver's license

    Physical Demand of the Role:

    · Ability to walk, stand, sit, and climb

    · Ability to lift/carry 50lbs

    · Ability to work from heights and in confined spaces

    · Qualify to wear a full-face respirator (preferred)

    · Consistently work in various weather conditions
