Location:
In-person duties required in Malibu and Agoura Hills/Calabasas with the option for remote work as designated by management.

About The Cornucopia Foundation:

Join our dedicated team at the Cornucopia Foundation, where we champion local environmental causes, and host the Malibu Farmers Market.

We are in search of a dynamic and detail-oriented office assistant who is eager to contribute to our mission while developing professionally.


Role Overview:

The office assistant will play a vital role in supporting both the day-to-day operations of our office and the Malibu Farmers Market.

This position requires a proactive approach to maintaining vendor documentation, handling communications, and conducting market research. You will also provide executive support to our President and co-founder. While primarily based in-office, the option for remote work days will be granted based on performance and organizational needs.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Upkeep of vendor documentation and records.
  • Managing organizational communications, including drafting correspondence and content for publications.
  • Researching market trends to identify new opportunities for growth.
  • Providing both administrative and executive assistance.

Job Requirements:

  • Parttime availability, 1530 hours per week, with the potential to transition to fulltime.
  • Proficiency in data entry, Excel, Square, Squarespace, along with handling permits and leases.
  • Knowledgeable in Google Apps.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Financial literacy and experience in bookkeeping, invoicing, and scheduling.
  • Must have reliable transportation and a personal laptop.
  • Must reside within 45 minutes of Malibu or Agoura Hills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in social media, marketing, event planning, and management.
  • Interest and/or experience in nonprofit management.

Compensation:
- $25.00 per hour, with a training rate of $16.00 per hour on the first day.

  • Eligible for 40 hours (5 days) of paid sick leave annually after 90 days of employment.

Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday, including holidays.
  • Remote work days granted based on performance and business needs.

Work Location:

  • Flexible remote/inperson work arrangement based on designated management requirements.
