Hotel Front Desk Agent - Houston, United States - Doubletree Houston Airport
Description
Manage room bookings in-person, online, and through incoming calls, and answer inquiries about guests' needs, including questions about available rooms, amenities, room rates, special requests, and rewards programs- Work with the housekeeping staff to ensure rooms are ready for new guests
- Welcome, register, checkin, and check out guests staying at the hotel, provide keys and room numbers, and record credit card information
- Mitigate customer complaints as needed
- General bookkeeping: ensure all hotel guest account information is accurate and uptodate
Qualifications:
- Comfortable taking telephone calls and mitigating stressful situations
- Must have graduated high school, received a GED or equivalent
- At least one year of hospitality industry experience as a hotel front desk agent or similar position preferred
- Displays impeccable interpersonal, time management, organizational skills, and customer service skills
- Exhibits working knowledge of Microsoft Office and reservation management systems
