  • The Associate Property Appraiser (APA) is a journey level position that provides great potential for personal development and career advancement. Under general direction, incumbent independently and/or collaboratively conduct the more difficult and complex appraisals and field audits of all types of real property. Work as a member of a survey team, traveling throughout California to assist with the most difficult appraisals, and challenging property tax research projects. You will have support from your team members and supervisor.
Overnight travel may be required up to fifty percent (50%) of the time by automobile or airplane.

  • Travel throughout California up to fifty percent (50%) of the time.
  • Participate in meetings with County Assessors and staff.
  • Audit Assessor's records and report findings via written reports.
  • Make recommendations for tax law compliance.
  • Working as a team or independently.

Working Conditions

  • Telework is available fifty percent (50%) of the time.
  • Standard office environment.
