    Job Description

    AECOM is looking for an experienced Project Chemist III to support AECOM's remediation practice, this position would report to the Omaha, Nebraska office. This is a hybrid position and the candidate is not required to be located in Omaha, however, should be within commuting distance from an AECOM office.

    The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

    • Validate analytical chemistry data in accordance with Uniform Federal Policy for Quality Assurance Project Plans (UFP-QAPP), Department of Defense (DoD) General Validation Guidelines, and DoD Quality Systems Manual (QSM) Version 5.4.
    • Familiarity with DoD QSMs for Environmental Laboratories Version 5.4 and EPA National Functional Guidelines for Data Review.
    • Familiarity with preparing a QAPP.
    • Solicit analytical laboratory services and evaluate for project use.
    • Act as liaison between laboratory, field team, and project management during project implementation.
    • Prepare data usability summaries included in client deliverables.
    • In order to be successful in this role, you will need to be:
    • Comfortable working with a team toward a common goal, while working independently on individual tasks.
    • Detail-oriented while still able to understand/comply with the big picture/goals of a project.
    • Able to work with minimal supervision .
    • self-starter with the ability to multi-task and adapt to shifting priorities.
    • Strong oral and written communicator.

    Qualifications

    Minimum Requirements

    • BA or BS in Chemistry, Environmental Science, or other related area and 4 years of related experience in environmental analytical chemistry, either as a laboratory analyst and/or data validator, or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
    • Due to the nature of this role, US citizenship is required.

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Preferred 6 years of experience in environmental analytical chemistry, either as a laboratory analyst, data validator, or combination of both.
    • Candidate must be proficient with basic computer programs; and Microsoft Suite Programs. Project Chemist experience. Quality Assurance Project Plans (QAPPs) development.
    • Familiarity with FUDSChem or EQuIS databases is a plus.

    • Relocation is not available for this position.

    Compensation

    Exempt Position: The offered rate of compensation will be based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. The salary range for this position is $53,000-93,000.
