    Electrical CAD Designer/Drafter III - Ability to Obtain a Secret Clearance

    Do you enjoy drafting electrical wiring diagrams and want to support our nations national defense efforts? If so, our team in Norwich, CT is looking to add additional Electrical Designer/Drafter's to support an amazing program

    As an Electrical CAD Designer/Drafter III you will:
    Obtain and maintain a DOD secret clearance to work on United States Nuclear Submarine Non-Propulsion Electronic System (NPES) projects.
    Receive robust benefits package that includes Employee Stock Ownership Plan (A week in the life of a Electrical CAD Designer/Drafter III:
    Conduct ship checks on SSN 688/688I, SEAWOLF, VIRGINIA and OHIO Class submarines.
    Develop 2D shipboard interconnect cabling diagrams.
    Develop Wiring Tables, Elementary Wiring Diagrams, and List of Materials.

    AMERICAN SYSTEMS is committed to pay transparency for our applicants and employee-owners. The salary range for this position is $2- 34/hr. Actual compensation will be determined based on several factors permitted by law.

    Technical School CAD Certificate or
    Degree in Drafting / CAD Design or Engineering discipline

    Physically capable to conduct ship checks on United States Nuclear Submarines:
    Creating 2D drawings using Computer-Aided Design (CAD) drafting software applicationAutodesk AutoCAD desired but not required

    Creating 3D drawings using solid modeling design softwareAutodesk Inventor desired but not required:SOLIDWORKS experience acceptable

    Microsoft Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint software applications
    Adobe PDF tools
    Mentorship to junior level Drafter/Designers
