:Duties and Responsibilities
- Learn about all CAC offerings to ensure knowledgeable answers to guest inquiries
- Master sales technologies to assist customers and coworkers quickly and efficiently
- Proactively sell memberships, upsell ticket and retail packages, gift cards, and more
- Provide troubleshooting for customer issues and ticketing related questions
- Assist with tour checkin
- Keep public and work areas neat, clean and stocked
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
Knowledge or Expertise
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, evenings (7
30PM) and weekends required
- Excellent oral and written communication skills are required
- Prompt, courteous, enthusiastic, knowledgeable, and consistent customer service demeanor
- Detail oriented, ability to prioritize and multitask, good decisionmaking skills, maintain a calm demeaner under pressure
- Work successfully in team environments
- Contributes to meeting sales goals
- Maintain good working relationships with the public, CAC members, employees, docents, and volunteers
- Follow all policies and procedures outlined by the Chicago Architecture Center
- Must be able to stand or sit for long periods of time Qualifications
- Evening (until 7
30PM) and weekend availability required
- Must be able to start by 3/15/2
- Must be able to work 3 shifts/days per week HRS)
- High level of comfort with technology is required
- Previous work in a call center, box office, or concierge desk
- Experience in a tourism a plus
- Strong familiarity with Chicago a plus
- Tessitura and/or Ticketmaster experience desired
