The Associate Governmental Program Analyst (AGPA) works under the direction of the Staff Services Manager I, in a customer service-oriented environment within the Payroll and Benefit Operations, Disability Management Unit (DMU).

The AGPA works independently to research, create, and streamline policies and procedures, and complete varied and complex personnel-related projects.

The AGPA will serve as the DMU Special Projects Analyst by analyzing current practices and working with Subject Matter Experts (SME) to develop desk manuals for Transactions as well as determine process improvements to streamline and lean out current processes and procedures.

The AGPA evaluates inquiries from employees regarding their disability entitlements including but not limited to:
Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA), California Family Rights Act (CFRA), Military Family Leave (MFL), Military Leave (ML), Pregnancy Disability Leave (PDL), Non

  • Industrial Disability Insurance (NDI), State Disability Insurance (SDI), Parental Leave Act (PL), medical Leave of Absence (LOA), Workers' Compensation (WC), Supplemental Paid Sick Leave (SPSL) and Catastrophic Time Bank (CTB); triages disability cases to the appropriate Senior Personnel Specialist; and works with programs on tracking employee's probationary period for extension while out on leave. The AGPA will act as a lead to all Senior Personnel Specialists within the unit.

This position is eligible for a hybrid telework schedule for employees who can satisfactorily perform their essential work functions independently and remotely.
