Position Description:

**This position allows remote work from anywhere in the United States.**

Conducts test automations using technical tools such as Junit, Cucumber, Mockito, and Easy Mock. Develops, deploys, and maintains software applications using Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) pipeline tools like Jenkins, Stash, and Git. Creates groundbreaking proofs of concept for financial solutions using modern technologies such as blockchain, Augmented Reality/Virtual Reality (AR/VR), and video games. Shapes products, designs product sketches, resolves product dimensions, and builds mockups of proposed software applications. Analyzes information to determine, recommend, and plan computer software specifications for major projects and suggests modifications and enhancements based on user requirements. Delivers business solutions by developing complex or multiple software applications.

Primary Responsibilities:

Develops original and innovative technical solutions for ongoing development efforts.
Designs applications or subsystems for major projects and across multiple platforms.
Creates applications for various projects supporting different divisional initiatives.
Supports and executes all testing phases leading to implementation.
Assists in planning and conducting user acceptance testing.
Produces comprehensive documentation for multiple applications backing several corporate initiatives.
Responsible for post-installation testing to identify and address any issues.
Establishes project plans for moderate scope projects.
Works on intricate assignments and often multiple phases of a project.
Conducts independent and complex technical and functional analysis for several projects supporting various initiatives.

Education and Experience:

Bachelor's degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, Mathematics, Physics, or a related field, with three (3) years of experience as a Senior Software Engineer/Developer (or similar role) specializing in designing and implementing Web applications, Application Programming Interface (APIs), and databases within a financial services environment using Java, Amazon Web Services (AWS), and Azure.

Alternatively, a Master's degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, Mathematics, Physics, or a related field, along with one (1) year of experience as a Senior Software Engineer/Developer (or similar role) focusing on designing and implementing Web applications, Application Programming Interface (APIs), and databases within a financial services setting using Java, Amazon Web Services (AWS), and Azure.

Skills and Knowledge:

The candidate must also demonstrate:

Expertise in designing and developing responsive client-side applications, utilizing JavaScript MVC frameworks (Angular, React), client-side technologies (HTML5, Cascading Style Sheets (CSS), and Integrated Development Environment (IDE).
Experience in defining and architecting Continuous Integration/Continuous Development (CI/CD) infrastructure employing Docker and Jenkins with automated testing of business capabilities; defining and establishing the build and deployment pipeline architecture with Cloud Formation Templates for Cloud-native applications using container orchestration engines (AWS ECS, AWS EKS, and Azure AKS).
Proficiency in designing and architecting highly scalable Web applications, APIs, and databases to enable development teams in building applications and systems using Java, open-source frameworks (Springboot, Spring MVC), Integration (Apache Camel), and event streaming frameworks (Kafka).

Fidelity's working model
combines remote work with in-person collaboration to meet associate and business requirements effectively.
