Description

• Our camp classroom teachers will see a total of 9 groups most camp days, for approximately minute sessions (repeating the same lesson / activity all 9 times). Camp classes should be designed to be fun, while still incorporating some educational aspects. For science in particular, we are looking for activities that are usually handson and involve as much collaborative learning as possible.
• The shift for classroom teachers is 9:30 AM 4:00 PM. Due to field trips, there could be slight modifications to the hours (slightly earlier or slightly later).
• Perfect for someone who currently works in the education or early childhood field or someone who is pursuing a degree in education or early childhood and has other child care / education / summer camp experience.
• Salary is $ $16.00 per hour based on experience and educational background.

• Monday through Friday

• Based on a low target teacher / student ratio (average 1:18 onsite, 1:9 offsite)

• Applicants must have a high school diploma or equivalency (or higher)
• Applicants must be 18 or older
• Applicants must go through fingerprinting and a national background check
• Ideal applicants should interact well with children, work well in a team atmosphere, have a positive attitude, be dependable, and exhibit a lifestyle that does not contradict the camp's Christian / moral values.
