Job Overview:
2nd shift
- 2:30pm to 11:00pm
Cleaning Responsibilities:
Follows daily cleaning checklist of classrooms, offices, hallways, gym, cafeteria and restrooms as outlined by Building and Grounds Supervisor and Administration.
Washes windows, white boards and walls.
Empty and clean trash receptacles and collect recycling.
Washes, scrubs and disinfects restrooms as well as clean sinks, fixtures and drinking fountains.
Cleans up spills (including bodily fluids) as needed.
Additional job responsibilities:
Adjust clocks when needed and insure clocks are working properly.
Lock and unlock doors, windows and gates as needed and requested by administration.
Respond to special request for custodial services from staff, with the approval from Building and Grounds Supervisor.
Set up and tear down/cleanup of special events and games
Report any safety, sanitary issues or hazards to the Building and Grounds Supervisor and/or Administration.
Assists Building and Grounds Supervisor with snow removal, salting, shoveling and clearing walkways.
Performs light duty maintenance such as lightbulb replacement and painting.
Movement of desks, chairs and other furniture as needed or requested by staff.
Personal Conduct:
Follows district policies and expectations outlined in the employee handbook.
Attends work regularly and are punctual.
Interact thoughtfully and courteously with students, staff, parents and fellow custodians.
Ability to solve conflicts that arise in a non-demeaning manner.
Receive and carry out instruction from Building and Grounds Supervisor and Administration in a professional manner.
Promote a professional work place amongst peers that is void of negativity towards tasks and fellow employees.
Qualifications:
Previous custodial and/or cleaning experience preferred but not required.
Ability to understand and follow verbal and written instructions from Supervisor and Administration
Ability to lift and carry 50 lbs.
Possess the ability to squat, twist, bend, and/or kneel while using tools to perform maintenance tasks.
Working knowledge of the methods, techniques, and materials used in custodial work.
Familiar with operation of custodial equipment.
Pay:
From $16.25 per hour
