    Description

    Controller

    Our well-established client seeks a hands-on Controller to grow with their close-knit team. This role has room for growth and would be a great fit for someone looking to be part of an organization that values the community around them.

    Responsibilities of the Controller

    • Oversee accounting team ensuring timely and accurate close.
    • Prepare and maintain reports related to financials and job costing.
    • Maintain financial statements ensuring accuracy and GAAP compliance.
    • Support leadership team in making strategic forecasting/budgeting decisions and mitigating risk.
    • Support year end processes including tax filings.
    • Ad-hoc financial and inventory analysis/reporting.

    Controller Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field; CPA required.
    • At least 5 years of progressive accounting experience including prior supervisory responsibility.
    • Strong knowledge of GAAP, GL functions, and financial statement review/analysis processes.
    • Proficient with ERP systems and MS Office Suite including intermediate to advanced Excel skills.
    • Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to interact at all levels of the organization.
    • Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
    • Deadline-driven with the ability to effectively manage competing priorities.
