  • Reporting to the Associate Vice President of Human Resources, the Employee Relations Manager will provide program leadership that enhances the employee experience of Reynolds faculty, administrative faculty, classified employees, and wage staff.
Leading the employee relations and training and development programs includes compliance, communication, development, and administration of:

  • Managing the employee relations program to provide guidance to management staff by policy interpretation, investigations and advice on a full range of employee relations matters including informal and formal grievances, development of performance management plans, disciplinary issues, employee assistance referrals, and reduction in force issues.
  • Facilitates ongoing communication and working relationships with employee representative organizations including, DEI and other workgroups.
  • Acts as a member of the Human Resources department leadership team and participates in setting the direction of human resources support activities for the College. Develops and recommends to the Director of Human Resources policies and procedures concerning employee relations and personnel practices.
  • Manages the process to investigate and respond to complaints from EEOC, Title IX, or other regulatory agencies.
  • May represent the College in mediations and Employment Relations Board hearings related to discrimination, harassment, or unfair labor practice complaints.
  • Participates in the development and delivery of management training programs designed to advance the human resources skills of the College management staff.
  • May be assigned responsibility for program administration in areas such as ADA compliance or other related Human Resource programs.

Special Assignments
May be required to perform other duties as assigned.

May be required to assist the agency or state government generally in the event of an emergency declaration by the Governor.


KSA's/Required Qualifications

  • Demonstrated expertise in HR best practices, regulations, and statutes.
  • Progressive experience in employee relations, contracts, and grievances.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and interpret policies and procedures.
    Additional Considerations
  • Education in Human Resources equivalent to that of a Master's Degree.
    Operation of a State Vehicle
