WPKZ Radio, The K-Zone, is looking for a Weekday Radio Show Co-Host for our Weekday Morning show, The K-Zone Morning Commute, from 6:30 am to 9 am.

Join our community radio station in North Worcester County, with 80 years of broadcasting history. We cover local sports including Red Sox, Patriots, Celtics, Bruins, NCAA Football, and Leominster Blue Devils football.

We are all about engaging with the audience, from political commentary to special guests, news, and weather updates. Plus, we love throwing in some good laughs!

• Create and host entertaining programs, interviews, news, weather updates, and more during a 23-hour show.
• Develop skits, interact with callers, and manage audience input.
• Deliver news, weather, and traffic reports for weekday programming.
• Stay up-to-date with local, national, and international news sources, focusing on local news.
• Write and edit news scripts, play ad spots, and produce promos.
• Make public appearances to promote the show and engage with the community.
• Produce ads and public service announcements, manage guest schedules, and more.

• Friendly personality with a clear speaking voice.
• Quick thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of soundboard operation.
• Excellent communication and time management.
• Ability to conduct interviews and engage the audience.
• Trustworthy and collaborative.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.
• Bachelor's degree in Broadcast Communications, Journalism, or related field.
• 3 years of experience in radio or television broadcasting.
