Job summary
Under general supervision performs basic nursing procedures on patients Assists physicians or practitioners with examinations procedures and other processes related to direct patient care Position will primarily answer incoming phone calls and direct calls as needed Maintains established departmental policies and procedures objectives Quality Assessment program and safety environmental and infection control standards Performs basic nursing procedures such as measuring patient height and weight according to oncology best practice taking vital signs and completing ambulatory intake Interviews and retrieves initial basic evaluation of patient inputs information into EMR reports to appropriate practitioner Ensures an adequate stock of supplies necessary equipment Monitors accuracy of recording on patients medical records Maintains all required reports statistics etc Assists with medical record requests scanning documentation into medical record Inspects area daily for compliance takes corrective action when appropriateAssists with cleaning re stocking examination rooms transports instruments sterile processing assists chart prep provider schedule managementSupports through assistance note prep verbal order entry prescription refill managementCompetent reception role professional scripting answering calls documenting message message pools real-time scheduling rescheduling appointments Demonstrates competence performing critical skills delivery care age-specific needs population served Enhances professional growth development participation educational programs current literature in-service meetings workshops Cooperates personnel achieve department objectives maintains good employee relations interdepartmental objectives infection control policies Attends meetings required Works positive attitude supports work environment teamwork immediate department outside participates quality improvement initiatives assigned Performs other duties assigned Minimum Education None specified however must meet standards achievement below indicated license certification issuing authority Minimum Experience None Experience MA preferred but not necessary train needed Experience urology specialty preferred not required Licensure Requirement Certified Medical Assistant requiredJob description
