The Electrical Project Manager will be responsible for the estimation, quotation, direction, coordination, implementation, execution and completion of projects according to strict deadlines and within budget.

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITES:


  • Estimating and quoting electrical portion of the job
  • Responsible for permitting when required
  • Attend prebid meetings with Sales when required
  • Assist sales/estimating in means/methods used in field operations
  • Attend preconstruction meetings with Sales, Estimating, Purchasing and Foreman for job hand off
  • Verify scope of work with proposed subcontractors
  • Relay qualified subcontractor bids to purchasing for purchase orders and include wording for each PO
  • Subcontractor scheduling/communications/compliance/safety
  • Overall project schedule
  • Provide labor/equipment needs to scheduling every Wednesday prior to needs and after verification with sales, purchasing and inventory that all necessary components available, also after salesman's verification with owner
  • Job cost every two weeks or earlier if needed. Make a note on PM Executive Summary report after job cost done and date it
  • Job site photos showing all stages of project (can come from Foreman)
  • Create PM & Foreman project manuals to include daily logs, purchase orders, bids, site specific safety manual, inspection/inspector info, contact list, map to job site, material list (after carefully reviewed by PM), drawings/sketches, photographs, contents of electronic job file, scope of work, etc.
  • Communicate with sales and owner on site while under construction
  • Attendance at progress meetings
  • Safety, tool box talks, proper PPE for RWM and subcontractors
  • Change orders, written and signed prior to onset of added work, work hand in hand with sales on this
  • Final inspection/approval, sign off from inspector must be completed and saved to electronic job file
  • Job close out within 30 days with asbuilt drawings, warranty manuals, final inspections and certifications or warranty cards
  • Ensure foreman and laborers on site when requested by customer
  • Warranty, any call backs, warranty info. is handled by PM, they schedule parts, labor, etc. needed to make repairs if deemed warranty work by PM
  • Compile warranty manual including subcontractor/supplier warranties, operational/equipment manuals, onsite photos and as built drawings
  • All members of the team are responsible for doing their part to ensure the success of the project

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITES

  • Verbal and written communication skills and ability to communicate with customers and team members
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Work well under pressure and meet constant deadlines
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and Internet

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

  • High school degree or equivalent
  • Must possess a current State of Michigan Journeyman or Master Electrician's License
  • Basic reading, writing and arithmetic is required.

Digging and working in trenches. Working in confined spaces, from heights, and hot/cold weather conditions.
