    Description

    The Tool Room Manager oversees the Tool & Die department and its employees, working closely with the Plant Manager and other departments to ensure production schedules are met. We are seeking someone with experience in Tooling metals, Tool Room operations, DOE, FMEA, and CAD. If you're passionate about tools and processes, this might be the right fit for you!

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Manage multiple shifts, construct, maintain, modify, and calibrate machine shop tools, dies, and instruments.
    • Diagnose complex dies and fabrication processes, using measurement devices accurately.
    • Troubleshoot and repair equipment.
    • Support and adhere to quality management system guidelines.
    • Make and implement recommendations for continuous improvement.
    • Participate in audits, respond to findings, and take corrective action.

    MANAGERIAL DUTIES:

    • Supervise Tool Room Department employees, following organizational policies and laws.
    • Interview, hire, and train staff.
    • Manage performance, appraisals, rewards, and disciplinary actions.
    • Handle time records, absenteeism, and schedules.
    • Supervise Tool & Die apprentices and ensure program adherence.

    REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

    • 5+ years experience as a Tool & Die maker.
    • 2+ years in Tool Room or Maintenance Management.
    • Training in DOE, FMEA, and experience with AutoCAD and/or KeyCreator.
    • Ability to interpret blueprints and geometrical tolerances.
    • Knowledge of conventional & CNC machine technology.
