Description
The EHR Application Analyst will collaborate with operations leads and end users to optimize the recent implementation of PointClickCare.


Essential Functions:

  • Develop training materials, handouts, and instructional/reference materials for staff as needed.
  • Provide daily support and troubleshooting for PointClickCare and related systems.
  • Shadow workflows to identify potential process improvements within PointClickCare.
  • Work with leadership and staff to translate clinical requirements into specifications for PointClickCare, participating directly in development and workflow improvements.
  • Administer general system configuration within the EHR.
  • Collaborate with Clinical and IT departments to ensure security roles provide necessary access.
  • Evaluate team requests for process improvements or system enhancements and determine operational objectives.
  • Research solutions, design modifications, and provide recommendations to improve systems and processes.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders and IT team members.
  • Maintain system protocols, recommend controls, and write improved procedures.
  • Uphold information confidentiality according to HIPAA guidelines.
  • Prepare technical reports, analyze trends, and summarize information.
  • Test new features and facilitate the rollout of system updates.
  • Conduct thorough user acceptance testing on PointClickCare enhancements.
  • Coordinate testing findings with clinical and finance teams for defect identification and new features/releases.
  • Establish and maintain productive relationships with department heads and technical resources within the vendor ecosystem to drive systemic improvements.

Other Duties:


  • Stay updated on professional and technical knowledge by attending workshops, reviewing publications, and participating in professional societies.
  • Contribute to team efforts by accomplishing related tasks as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:


  • Minimum three years of recent PointClickCare system management experience.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Health Information Systems or related field, or equivalent education/experience.
  • Experience working with Nursing and support departments in a hospital or skilled nursing facility, with familiarity of various roles such as Life Enrichment, Social Services, Therapy, and Dining Services, and their relation to PointClickCare implementation.
  • SQL query development experience and familiarity with Data Relay for custom reporting preferred.
  • Nursing experience preferred.
  • Current knowledge of project management principles and software.
  • Strong knowledge of business software and automation trends.
  • Technical documentation experience required.
  • Knowledge of applicable data privacy practices.
  • Basic computer hardware and software skills including PCs and MS Office suite.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and customer service orientation.
  • Excellent analytical, problemsolving, followthrough, and detailoriented skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and effectively handle technical interruptions.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills with both technical and nontechnical staff.
  • Strong collaboration, teamwork, and documentation skills.
  • Selfmotivated with the ability to work independently and adapt to changes quickly, even in stressful situations.
  • Ability to comprehend verbal and written instructions in English.

Pay:
$ $59.61 per hour
