    Description
    Hello, Randstad is seeking a safety coordinator for one of our food manufacturing clients located in the county of Los Angeles. This role is a temp to hire role and will allow you to grow your skils sets to a whole new level.     salary: $28 - $29 per hour
    shift: First
    work hours: 8 AM - 3:30 PM
    education: High School

    Responsibilities
    • Handle training schedule, communications, and materials.
    • Gather and track data for worker compensation, safety reports, and metrics.
    • Translate materials and documents (English/Spanish).
    • Assist with monthly inspections and reports.
    • Maintain ongoing departmental communication and follow-up on initiatives.
    • Provide clerical support, such as filing, word processing, utilizing Excel spreadsheets, updating charts, scanning, answering phones, data entry, scheduling meetings, etc.
    • Report any food safety or quality problems to personnel with authority to initiate action.
    • Work with vendor to refill and maintain first aid cabinets
    • Follows J&J Snack Food's Food Safety Plan (FSP), the Safe Quality Food (SQF) Program, the Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and the Good Documentation Practices (GDPs).
    • Follows all OSHA safety rules and all food safety laws and regulations.

      The essential functions of this role include:
    • working in a smoke free environment
    • wearing steel toe shoes
    • standing for 8 hours at one time
    • working up to 2 hrs of overtime per week
      Skills
    • Food Safety (1 year of experience is preferred)
    • Safety
    • Auditing GMPs (2 years of experience is preferred)
