    Description

    LHH Recruitment is assisting our client, a tribal organization with their search for an Associate General Counsel to support the General Counsel on a broad range of legal and political matters arising in the operation of various businesses and interests.

    This is an exceptional opportunity to both practice law at a sophisticated level, as well as support the economic growth and development of this organization and it's people.

    Conduct research and writing necessary for the advice and recommendations to the Board of Directors, Executives, Departments, and staff
    Assist with development of resolutions, agreements, grants, policies, procedures, and protocols
    Negotiate and review of contracts in accordance with policies and protocols;
    Handle legal disputes
    Continue professional development, including training in the areas of Indian law, or other issues relevant to his or her job duties
    Working knowledge of federal Indian law
    Ability to review and revise contracts with minimal supervision of General Counsel
    Exceptional writing, communication, research and decision-making capabilities
