Positions Available:

Transportation Mechanic
Bus Driver

Transportation Mechanic Responsibilities:

Assist in diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing the district transportation fleet
Tasks include vehicle cleaning, fueling, oil changes, assisting with major repairs, and preparing fleet vehicles for annual inspections

Bus Driver Responsibilities:

Provide safe and efficient transportation to ensure students benefit fully from the district's curriculum and extracurricular programs

Position Details:

Salary: $16.00-$22.25/hour (wage based on relevant experience)
Term of Employment: 8 hours/day, 12 months/year

Qualifications:

Transportation Mechanic:

High school or trade school completion, or equivalent experience providing necessary knowledge, skills, and abilities
Understanding of automotive diagnosis, repair, and maintenance practices, including electrical, electronics, small engine repair, and hydraulic and pneumatic component functions

Bus Driver:

Valid Kansas motor vehicle operator's license, with the ability to obtain a Class B CDL with S and P endorsements
Must maintain school bus driver qualifications and pass required examinations and courses

District Benefits:

*Available to employees working 5.75+ hours/day, 5 days/week
