- Establish, foster, and manage business relationships with current and potential customers to drive new business for Sysco Specialty Meat Group's products and services.
- Conduct in-person visits and presentations to engage with customers.
- Take customer orders while focusing on sales and profit maximization.

- Keep abreast of market trends, products, services, and competitors within the industry.
- Participate in training and customer events organized by Sysco.
- Collaborate with accounts payable contacts and oversee communication with sales partners.

- Maintain accurate customer records and pricing information.
- Education: High School diploma, preferred: 4-year degree in culinary arts, business, marketing, agriculture/animal science or related fields.
- Experience: 2 years of prior experience in food service sales and/or culinary background, preferably in Center of the Plate (premium meat & seafood).
- Professional Skills: Extensive knowledge of the meat and seafood category or restaurant/culinary background, consultative sales skills, self-motivation, strong customer relations abilities, and basic computer proficiency.
- Decision made with review and approval involve sales strategy, contract pricing, and authorizing credits and returns.

JOB SUMMARY
This role is responsible for implementing a sales plan assigned by the Sysco Specialty Meat Group (SSMG) company. The main goal is to maximize sales profitability, growth, and account penetration within the designated territory by effectively promoting and selling the company's products. The selected candidate will join the upcoming sales class on July 8, 2024.
