JOB SUMMARY:
We are seeking a Mental Health Technician to join our healthcare team. Your primary function is to assist in the coordination of nursing/psychiatric care provided in conjunction with the multidisciplinary treatment team. You will work with a phenomenal team that cares like family and works together in a collaborative manner.
In this role you will:
- Observe, report, and document patient's physiological and psychological status by using the nursing process based upon established hospital policies and procedures, unit specific policies and procedures, and/or Standards of Care/Practice.
- Provide and document information on patient care.
- Assist patients with activities of daily living; attend to patient behavioral problems and provides assistance in crisis intervention, as needed.
- Serve as the patient and family advocate with respect to the patient's right to privacy by protecting confidential information.
- Follow established guidelines for reporting a significant medical error or unanticipated outcome in the patient's care which results in patient harm or potential harm.
Job Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED required
- 2 Year Associates Degree preferred
- BLS required
- One year of experience preferred
- Fingerprinting Required
