Job Summary:
Pet Care company in Chicago Lincoln Park neighborhood is looking to hire part-time dog walker/ cat sitter.

We are seeking for someone that is dependable, reliable and trustworthy, an individual who truly enjoys spending time with dogs and cats.

As a pet sitter, you will be responsible for providing exercise and companionship to dogs and cats in our care.

This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who love animals, enjoy spending time outdoors and be independent.

• Job location: Lincoln Park/Lakeview
• Days and Hours: Monday through Friday, from 10am to 3pm, occasional weekends and holidays available for additional hours/earnings

Duties:

• Walk dogs on a regular schedule, ensuring they receive the necessary exercise and attention
• Clean up after dogs, including disposing of waste in designated areas
• Ensure the safety of dogs at all times, using appropriate restraints and following proper handling techniques
• Monitor the health and wellbeing of the pets during visits, reporting any concerns to the owner or supervisor
• Maintain accurate records of each visit, including time spent and any notable observations

Qualifications:

• Previous personal or professional experience working with dogs and cats is preferred.
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with pet owners
• Knowledge of basic dog and cat behavior and breeds
• Ability to handle dogs of various sizes and temperaments
• Willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions
• This job is for physically active and outdoorsy people who enjoy walking and do not mind being outside on extreme days.
• Reliable and insured car to travel to different locations for client visits and a smart phone.
• We are looking for commitment, at least a year.
• Must be 21 years old
• Applicant must submit to a criminal background check
• As a pet sitter you will work as an employee, not independent contractor.
