Domestic Violence Intervention Instructor
MUST HAVE ABIP CERTIFICATION- REQUIRED
Description
Family Service Agency of Burbank has been dedicated to the eradication of family violence for more than 30 years and is looking for individuals who are passionate about providing service to the community.
The Domestic Violence Facilitator conducts weekly classes for volunteer and court referred clients in a community non-profit setting whose mission it is to facilitate the learning and practice of healthy non-violent relationship behaviors.
Typical Duties
Complete assessment and intakes for prospective class members
Facilitate 52-week domestic violence and/or anger management classes.
Prepare progress reports on behalf of clients referred from court.
Prepare client documentation and maintain client files.
Maintains records of activities associated with the program and prepares for audits.
Provides public education through public speaking and other means on safety planning related to domestic assault and related issues.
Provide coverage relief for other instructors as necessary
Perform other duties as assigned and as needed by virtue of working in a non-profit environment.
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Psychology, Sociology, or related field
ABIP Certified.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Bilingual-English/Spanish Preferred
Minimum Two (1) year experience required.

Pay:
The pay for this job is $50 for each 2 hour class.
