Levi's Building Components, a leader in the metal roofing accessories industry, is looking for the right person to join our expanding team.
We are looking for a Technical Service Manager who will be responsible for overseeing and improving quality control processes, researching new products and processes, and training.
Other key responsibilities would include:
- Ensuring highest level of quality in our projects, products, and service
- Product testing
- Communicating with clients to ensure their quality expectations are met and addressing any concerns or questions.
- Highlighting areas for improvement and be forthcoming with ideas on how to improve educational materials, methods, assessment techniques and compliance.
- Maintaining precise and detailed records
- Conducting regular reviews and updates of quality control processes to ensure they are in line with industry standards and best practices.
- Staying upto date with industry developments and trends related to quality control and implementing any necessary changes.
- Collaborating with managers and other team members
- Providing guidance and support to internal and external customers to resolve technical issues.
- Coordinating and conducting training events such as quality control training, process improvement training, new products training, etc.
- Maintaining and coordinating various product certifications and testing.
- Investigating and staying up to date on all Levi's Building Components products, including an understanding of any available prints or technical documents.
- Continuous improvement, investigate and implement new training programs and interactive techniques.
- Traveling up to 20% annually.
- Participating in technical discussions, providing strategic prioritization and risk management guidance.
- Conducting market research and competitive analysis to identify market opportunities, trends, and customer needs.
- Bachelor's degree and/or 10 years' experience
- Construction industry experience is a must.
- Experience working in a manufacturing environment.
- General understanding of business financials and ROI
- CAD experience, a plus
- Exceptional problemsolving skills and the ability to address complex challenges.
- Analytical thinking and a strong understanding of using data to inform product decisions.
- Ability and patience to take complicated technical programs and present them in a digestible way to nontechnical individuals.
- The ability to work in a team atmosphere and be a team player.
- Effective communication skills with senior management and executive teams, ability to articulate product roadmap, progress, and evolution to key stakeholders, including executive leadership.
- High level of attention to detail
- Strong mathematical and grammar skills
- Recognizes the importance of certain tasks and responsibilities and has the ability to prioritize to ensure that deadlines are met.
- Building trust, establishing credibility, and achieving success in the workplace.
