**MUSEUM CURATOR I (PERMANENT/FULLTIME)

  • CHANNEL COAST DISTRICT/COASTAL FIELD DIVISION/LA PURISIMA MISSION STATE HISTORIC PARK.**The reporting location for this position is La Purisima Mission State Historic Park. This position will work under the general direction of the Cultural Resource Program Manager.
  • The Museum Curator I will be responsible for assisting with the safekeeping and management of the district's museum and archival collections. The position oversees and maintains a program of effective collections stewardship that involves directing work related to archive and artifact conservation and preservation, performing a wide range of museum registration duties, facilitating organization of the collections, maintaining district compliance with Department collections policies and procedures, managing the District's collections storage facility, and supervision of curatorial staff and volunteers.
  • Training and Development Assignments may be considered.
This position is designated as not telework eligible.
