    Kettering Health Dayton


    • Kettering Health Dayton, formerly Grandview Medical Center, has been providing care to Dayton and surrounding communities for over 90 years.
    • Over 20 specialties, including orthopedics, heart and vascular, surgery, and trauma services.
    • KH Dayton expanded their Emergency Department as well as their heart & vascular services to include an additional catheterization lab and electrophysiology lab.
    • Partners with Gem City Market to provide fresh fruits and vegetables every Tuesday within the hospital.
    • One of the largest osteopathic teaching hospitals in the United States.
    • 371 bed facility
    • Over the past several years, KH Dayton has received many awards, including:
    • Top 100 Hospital
    • Patient Safety Excellence Award from Healthgrades in 2019.
    • Received an "A" from the Leapfrog Group, a national patient safety watchdog, ranking among the safest hospitals in the United States.
    Department Overview


    The President of the Grandview Foundation supports Osteopathic Medical Education and provides leadership and strategic direction for the Grandview Foundation.

    S(he) plans, manages, implements and evaluates all aspects of the fundraising activities for the Grandview Foundation, Kettering Health Dayton, Kettering Health Washington Township and affiliated organizations.

    Fundraising activities include and are not limited to capital campaigns, major and individual gift identification, research, cultivation and solicitation; special purpose projects and grants; annual appeal solicitation; special event activities and planned giving.

    Responsibilities & Requirements


    Educational Requirements:
    Bachelor's degree; (additional certification in philanthropy and fundraising should be attained)


    Knowledge and Abilities:
    Broad, well-rounded professional; adept at developing personal relationships and communication strategies.


    Work Environment:
    Office based, some local and regional travel required.

Serves effectively as a liaison between GVF and KHDS Medical Education/Community 4. Leads GVF staff to meet goals with personal and professional fulfillment. 3. Creates a positive image for GVF in public presentations and representations. 4. Represents KHDS' interests in community revitalization efforts. 5. Creates a positive image for GVF through Foundation publications 6. Manages effectively the distribution of funds from the GVF to KHDS educational programs. 7. Coordinates the activities of the GVF Board of Directors and its committees. 8. Develops and advances an integrated and comprehensive development program. 9. Demonstrates up-to-date job knowledge. 10. Demonstrates knowledge of, and adherence to, departmental policies and procedures. 11. Uses Grandview Foundation resources efficiently. 12. Completes work assignments in timely manner.
