Duties:


As a
Business Analyst, you will:


  • Document requirements traceability throughout project lifecycle; this includes business, task, and workflow processes using industry standard methods including business process descriptions, use cases, scenarios, diagrams, flow charts, etc.
  • Act as a liaison between departmental endusers, technical analysts, information technology analysts, consultants, and other governmental organizations, in the analysis, design, configuration, testing, and maintenance of case management systems to ensure optimal operational performance.
  • Ensure stakeholders and/or system owners understand system functionalities, logical and physical models, security requirements, and priority relative to the mortgage securitization business.
  • Interact with contractors in order to understand and document interconnections, as well as ensure seamless transaction processing.
  • Plan, organize, and conduct business process reengineering/improvement projects (i.e. projects requiring strategic analysis of an entire process or operating area where specific issues or items to be corrected, examined, or recommended have not been identified.

The official duty station for this position will be in
Washington, District of Columbia. Failure to report to duty at this location may be grounds for a disciplinary action, including removal.

Qualifications:


  • You must meet the following requirements by the closing date of this announcement.

Specialized Experience:For the
GS-13 grade level, you must have one year (52 full weeks) of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the
GS-12 grade level in the Federal service.


Specialized Experience for this position includes:

  • Developing policy or procedural changes based on applicable laws, regulations, and industry customs for the management of a program in the housing or finance industry; AND**
    Conducting business analyses to identify alternative approaches to implementing new programs or products, and to identify enhancements to existing business processes; AND:

  • Preparing recommendations to senior management as to the best implementation approach for new programs, policies, and enhancements to business processes.
Experience may have been gained in either the public, private sector or
volunteer service
. One year of experience refers to full-time work; part-time work is considered on a prorated basis.
