    Description

    I am currently seeking a Senior Estimator for Heavy Civil/Heavy Highway construction to be located at our main office in Dallas, Texas. I am looking for talented construction professionals that want to excel at an industry leading company.

    Responsibilities

    • Facilitate the process of determining project pursuits through estimation.
    • Schedule and manage resources essential for the estimation and bidding phases.
    • Assess and analyze contract risks, initiate the Austin contract review process if necessary, and ensure contract compliance while mitigating any issues.
    • Supervise and actively engage in the preparation of cost estimates.
    • Collaborate with project owners to ensure adherence to plans and specifications.
    • Review the cost estimates provided by others to ensure alignment with plans, specifications, and on-site conditions.
    • Manage the preparation of pre-bid schedules.
    • Coordinate and lead estimate reviews with relevant operations managers.
    • Obtain and assess quotations from business partners to secure the best price and comprehensive work scope coverage.
    • Ensure timely and compliant submission of bids.
    • Supervise project buyout and budget functions, including negotiations with business partners.
    • Provide direct supervision to a team of estimators as required by the estimate.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering or related degree
    • 5+ years experience working on heavy civil construction projects plus 3+ years' experience of estimating
    • Must have experience estimating projects in the heavy civil industry and/or TxDOT or DOT from another state
    • Knowledge of HeavyBid by HCSS or other Estimating software
