The Workforce Coordinator is responsible for developing short-term and temporary jobs for WillWork and T3, recruiting job seekers who are reentering the workforce or those with barriers to employment, assessing staffing requirements, matching eligible job seekers, assigning personnel to projects, tracking maintain documentation or work and payments.


COLLABORATES WITH:

Collaborates with employers and the business community to identify and source staffing opportunities; Community Partners (e.g., City of Chicago DFSS, referral partners, workforce agencies); Interns; Volunteers; and other YWCA staff members.


ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:


Staffing Services:
Ensure all referrals complete intake process, verify employment eligibility, and all documentation is on file. Perform an assessment to identify job seekers strengths, skills, interests, needs and resources. Assign personnel to projects based on their skills, experience, availability, and project needs and budget. Maintain regular contact with participants across all stages of employment. Identify multiple opportunities for sustainable employment from workforce networks. Referrals to Workforce Development Programs for long-term employment.


Business Relations:
Develop and maintain a portfolio of business contacts to create a pipeline of short-term, temporary job opportunities. Collaborate closely with staffing partners to proactively and optimally staff projects. Assess future resource needs for opportunities in the pipeline, and soft book resources where appropriate for such future projects


Record Keeping and Reporting:
Responsible for gathering, maintaining and reporting participant demographic data, assignments, hours, payments, referrals to other programs. Provide statistical and anecdotal information as needed to support funding.


OTHER DUTIES AS ASSIGNED:

Other duties outside of the responsibilities of the position may be assigned, whether for a project, special needs task or other assignments, including planning and supporting StreetWise educational initiatives, in-kind donation drives and distribution and StreetWise events.


QUALIFICATIONS:
Previous experience, training, or knowledge about staffing services, support, motivation and compassion in accordance with the StreetWise mission


The position requires:

effective verbal and written communication skills; strong computer skills combined with experience with client service databases; ability to collaborate with stakeholders; Ability to work independently and handle various projects concurrently within a collaborative environment.


EDUCATION REQUIRED:
A Bachelor's degree is required from an accredited college or university.


CERTIFICATION / LICENSE REQUIRED:
Workforce Development Credentials a plus.


WORK SCHEDULE:
Monday - Friday. This hybrid schedule can vary depend on the needs of the agency.


Annual Pay Range:
$43,000- $45,900
