As stages and orchestra of the city of Bielefeld, the Theater Bielefeld and the Bielefeld Philharmonic perform in eight venues across three buildings: Stadttheater, Theater am Alten Markt (TAM), and Rudolf-Oetker-Halle.

With a total of 3,200 seats, they are one of the largest cultural institutions in North Rhine-Westphalia.

The three departments - opera, dance, and drama - as well as the orchestra and concert hall are currently under the direction of Michael Heicks (artistic director), Nadja Loschky (artistic director), and Stefanie Niedermeier (administrative director).

A diverse team of around 370 employees brings over 600 events per season to the stage.

Set Design Assistants


Responsibilities:

  • The costume and set design support and supervision for all departments
  • Communication and coordination with guest designers, technical and organizational exchange of information with inhouse departments (workshops, tailoring, makeup, props, lighting and sound, and media department)
  • Point of contact for workshops in the production process or procurement of set elements, costumes, and props according to the artistic concept
  • Creating costume lists, organizing and supervising costume fittings
  • Costume and set design rehearsal support, organization and coordination of set changes and
