Description
The Tactical Defense Systems Group works to understand air defense issues, in particular, air vehicle survivability, vulnerability of U.S. Air Force (USAF) aircraft to weapons systems, electronic countermeasures, and air surveillance for homeland defense.The group's emphasis remains on providing answers to questions from Air Force sponsors by conducting field measurements using state-of-the-art instrumentation and analyzing the resulting data.
- Position DescriptionAdditionally, responsibilities include managing the logistics for several large in person and virtual conferences. Logistics include working with the Technical Communications team to maintain the webpage, managing participant registration, supporting the onsite event, and assisting with briefing publication.
- Requirements
- High School diploma, post high school education preferred
- At least 5 years of directly related administrative experience. Post highschool education will count toward experience.
- Ability to prioritize day to day with tasks that evolve rapidly
- Ability to work independently, cooperatively, and effectively in a team environment
- Ability to perform administrative tasks in a dynamic environment, managing multiple assignments and prioritizing workflow with mínimal supervision.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills are essential
- Familiarity with DoD requirements highly desirable
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret DoD security clearance
