    Property Accountant - Growing Company

    About the Company and Opportunity:

    • Our client is a Real Estate Developer company headquartered in the Washington DC area.
    • Due to growth, they are hiring a Property Accountant to expand their team.

    Overview of the Property Accountant role:

    • Prepare monthly, quarterly and year-end financial statements for multiple entities
    • Analyze various transactions and identify appropriate accounting treatment
    • Prepare journal entries and maintain general ledger
    • Reconcile monthly bank statements to the general ledger
    • Assist with preparation of annual operating budgets

    Preferred Qualifications for the Property Accountant:

    • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related degree
    • 2+ years' accounting experience with an emphasis on real estate
    • Understanding of GAAP Accounting
    • Experience with Yardi is a plus
