Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized individual to join our team as a Surgical Coordinator. As a Surgical Coordinator, you will play a vital role in providing administrative support to our medical practice. This is a full-time position with competitive pay and benefits.
Responsibilities:
- Schedule surgical procedures and coordinate with patients, surgeons, and other healthcare professionals
- Obtain necessary preauthorization and insurance verification for surgical procedures in addition to sending and tracking imaging orders.
- Referrals and scheduling appointments with coordinating care providers (radiation oncology and medical oncology, plastic surgeons)
- Collect and maintain patient information, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality
- Manage medical records, ensuring proper documentation and compliance with HIPAA regulations
- Provide exceptional customer service to patients, addressing inquiries and concerns in a professional manner
- Collaborate with the front desk team to ensure smooth patient flow and efficient operations
- Maintain knowledge of medical terminology and procedures to effectively communicate with patients and healthcare professionals
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a medical administrative support role, such as dental receptionist or front desk coordinator, is preferred
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize responsibilities
- Attention to detail and accuracy in maintaining patient records and scheduling surgical procedures
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients, surgeons, and other healthcare professionals
Note:
All positions at our company are paid positions. Internship positions are also compensated accordingly.
Pay:
$ $20.98 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
