    Summers Plumbing Heating & Cooling is ready to hire a full-time Service Technician Assistant - Entry-Level HVAC Helper to work in and around Ft. Wayne, IN helping our senior technicians repair HVAC equipment. This entry-level position earns $38,000-$50,000, based on experience and performance. Our service technicians enjoy coming to work and feel valued for their contributions to the team.

    WHAT IT TAKES TO BE A SERVICE TECHNICIAN ASSISTANT - ENTRY-LEVEL HVAC HELPER

    In this entry-level skilled trade position, you're ready to learn, dive in, and absorb all things necessary to enhance your HVAC career. You ask questions, observe, and emulate our company values. When out in the field with experienced technicians, you learn the proper ways to service equipment, as well as how to professionally interact with our clients.

    Moving forward in this stable and essential industry is your daily goal. You work hard, do what you are asked of, and pay close attention to your mentors. Interacting with fellow employees and clients is natural for you. As you expand your skill set and knowledge, you know you are going to love your long and thriving career

    • Able to cut and bend metal for custom transitions and ductwork modifications
    • Physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs while lifting and repairing residential HVAC equipment
    • Have the ability to charge and handle refrigerant per the Clean Air Act
