Description

We are currently seeking a Technical Product Designer, formerly known as a Technical Draftsman, to join our team. This role involves working closely with engineers and technicians in the development or design department.

The Technical Product Designer is a technology-savvy and creative assistant who accompanies the product development process from conception and initial drawings to models and prototypes, all the way to final approval for mass production.

Using CAD software, they transform complex technical and (corporate) design requirements into three-dimensional views of constructions. They also create models using 3D printers, which they program themselves. Their work is crucial in combining functionality and aesthetics.

To strengthen our team, we are looking for an apprentice to become a Technical Product Designer. Our requirements include a good academic record (secondary school diploma or higher) and proficiency in STEM subjects. A good understanding of technology and spatial visualization skills are desirable. Fluency in English is required, and a driver's license (Class B) is preferred.

The apprenticeship will last for 3.5 years, with the vocational school located in Cologne.
