About The Position
This is primarily a revenue generating, sales role, to be a key player in driving 3x revenue growth in the next 12-18 months.
About You
You have experience building a sales channel from the ground up and the lessons and stories to prove it.
You are organized, resourceful, and have a 'get the job done' approach to your work. We like to use the term "scrappy" to describe how we operate when we are building something new.
You are an exceptional collaborator and insatiably curious when it comes to necessary information to build and execute the sales strategy.
You are a leader and have a systems framework, so the lessons you learn can be shared with the team you'll eventually build after proving what works best and outmaneuvers the competition.
Preferred:
You have experience selling HRIS systems to HR and IT in mid-market enterprises.
Responsibilities
Market Research and Strategy Development:
Identify Growth Opportunities:
Identify trends, technologies, and potential markets for our services. Understand the competitive landscape, and be the difference they are looking for. Create a strategic revenue plan refining it as you gain experience during execution.
Sales and Marketing:
Generate new leads through multi-channel outreach.
Use your relationship building skills and approach to connect and understand customer needs while supporting the iAM team in brand building efforts as we aim to serve a market hungry for reliable services.
Partnership Development:
You know what makes a good partner, and are picky with a view of the customer in mind, so you forge win-win-win partnerships with vendors and service providers in the form of joint offerings and strategies that open new markets and opportunities.
Product and Service Development:
Use your customer and market knowledge to engage in innovation discussions with our teams as we seek to provide relevant services to the market others are overlooking.
Project Management and Support:
Collaborate with internal teams to ensure alignment with company and client objectives, delivering legendary services, and building a lively sales pipeline.
Analytics and Reporting:
Work to develop and make visible key performance indicators around business development and revenue targets so the team can support you and ensure your success at a moment's notice.
7+ years of experience. (Compensation will be dependent on years of experience.)
Bachelor's degree in marketing or business preferred.
Experience in a consulting environment, ideally with HRIS systems.
In depth experience with Microsoft Office Suite.
Knowledge of Apollo as a Sales tool is a plus.
Skills
Ability to think strategically and translate insights into actionable growth strategies.
Strong communication and negotiation skills to effectively engage with clients, partners, and internal teams.
Deep understanding of HRIS technologies, trends, and the competitive landscape.
Excellent networking skills to build and maintain relationships with clients, partners, and industry influencers.
The Business Development role in such a firm is multifaceted, focusing not just on direct sales but also on building a strong foundation for long-term growth through strategic partnerships, market positioning, and continuous innovation in service offerings.
This role is pivotal in transforming the firm from a small player into a significant force in the HRIS consulting industry.
