- Analyze key manufacturing performance indicators to identify undesirable effects and opportunities for improvement.
- Calculate resource utilization and identify throughput constraints.
- Apply Six Sigma and Lean Manufacturing principles to eliminate constraints, improve efficiency, and meet or exceed cost, quality, and on-time delivery goals.
- Create process flows, value stream maps, pareto charts, spaghetti diagrams, and CAD drawings to graphically show manufacturing processes, the movement of material, the exchange of information, and key metrics.
- Contribute to strategic roadmaps focused on factory capacity, Manufacturing Technology insertion, infrastructure improvements, obsolescence mitigation, and the integration of new capabilities.
- Support program contract proposals, business case development for future investments, and Make/Buy/Where analyses.
- Support planning and prioritization of strategic investments coordinated by the industrial engineering organization.
- Typically requires a Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 10 years prior relevant experience.
- The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued Secret security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
- The ability to obtain and maintain a Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) clearance.
- Experience/Education with simulation modeling and capacity analysis.
- Experience/Education with factory layout and work cell design /optimization.
- Experience/Education with project management.
