Established local dessert business is seeking a perfectionist dough maker who cares deeply about product quality and contributing to a positive work environment and the success of a growing company.

Applicants *must* be able to work 1-3 shifts per week.
Timing of work can be flexible, but hours must be completed in shifts per week.

Depending on skills/merits, dough makers are able to pick up additional hours in other areas of the business if they desire to do so.

Good performance in this PT position will enable you to be considered for FT employment in future if desired, as positions become available, or you can choose to remain PT.

FT employees are eligible for benefits.


NOTE:

This location is metro accessible to two metro stops (Rhode Island and Brookland metro, both on the red line).

There is also convenient parking for those choosing to drive own vehicle.

• Food prep experience (pastry experience is a big plus)
• Honesty
• Flexibility/availability in schedule (can be available for shifts in schedule occasionally)

This job requires physical ability as follows:

• Must be able to work quickly and efficiently
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs at a time safely
• Must be able to be on feet for up to 10 hrs at a time (can take occasional breaks)
• If you are a smoker, you must be able to work without taking breaks to smoke during shift and avoid excessive smell of smoke on person while in kitchen

Use of cell phone is prohibited during shift except in cases of emergency.

Compensation:

• Training compensation is $17/hr. Eligible for a raise up to $20/hr after training and certification are complete, commensurate with experience and performance.
• Our company believes in internal promotion to outstanding employees; this includes potential for further raises in the future and possibility of promotion to higher level positions
